Max cheesy ? Don't think so , because he shows the numbers too .
I'm agreed about HAM but it was only possible in a good car , that's why I said I would love to see Max in such a car .

More so just that one comment but perhaps it was taken out of context so I can't judge too much from that.

Would be very interesting though to get Max into similar car to see how he would do, I'm sure in time we will find out!

They need to bring back two different tire vendors.

Hamilton's Phase 2 of the start was superior to Nico's Phase 2 thereby giving HAM the preferred positioning into Turn One. Rosberg should have executed an Up and Under move. The design of Turn One at COTA actually rewards that maneuver and will place you in perfect position for the esses. Rosberg's race craft simply isn't up to snuff when compared to Hamilton's.

Rosberg was quick this wknd and that lap one tap was either brilliant strategy or a 'dick' move.
It was neither. It was a racing incident that is barely worth mentioning. No Steward's Inquiry. Plenty of forum action, however. RACING INCIDENT.

P.S. ROS lost the race when he was pressured into a mistake by a rapidly closing HAM. Again.

Who gives a shit what happened on turn 1 of the FIRST LAP, Rosberg had the lead and lost it because of his own mistake.

And Wtf happen to the rest of the field in the last 10 laps. The top 3 just took off, 20+ seconds in 10 laps. lol

Overall it was a very good race, congrats to Lewis and Mercedes.

Only that the standing start and first turn of an F1 race is one of the most amazing spectacles in motorsports.

Not sure what that has to do with the point I was making...

If you could see turn one in person, you would understand how it is possible. It is completely blind apex, hitting the braking point is very difficult on the steep incline (cameras will never do that turn justice). I was at the race, sitting at turn 1. The track was still wet, they were on intermediate/wet tires that were not yet up to temp. Lewis got a better start, was even going into turn one and he went for the overtake just like any F1 driver would have. He tried to out brake Nico on a wet track, addition to having a tighter inside line made him go wide. As someone said above, Nico should have done an up and under move. Roles reversed, I have no doubt Nico would have tried a similar move. Outcome would have been the same considering the track conditions.

Exactly Nico folded under the pressure once again.

Exactly.

I have done about 125 or so laps at COTA in an E63 M6 and I can tell you that looking at it on TV, looking at it from the stands and climbing the hill at 120+ are 3 entirely different experiences just as doing so in an F1 car is yet, another.

For the latter 2 situations speed is the difference as the laws of physics (so far) are immutable. The car will definitely lose grip upon turning in (I remember shouting to my car, "Turn, Turn, Turn!!" almost each lap as the track was damp on one of my days. As I said earlier, Turn One seems almost designed for an up and under. COTA is one of Tilke's masterpieces. It is Technical AND Fast.

My final comment is this...the sorriest driver in the F1 Circus, including reserve and test drivers, has chunks of drivers like us in the toilet after they take a dump. I did 2 laps with Robert Wickens at Hockenheimring a few years ago. In the rain. The spatial awareness, reflexes, and driving ability of a top talent is incomprehensible until you personally see it in action. And Robert Wickens is a pretty good DTM driver...not the best, based on results. Drivers like HAM, ALO, VET, ROS (yes, ROS), et. al. are driving gods. Period. End of Story.

Cheers-mk

Nothing fancy really, I was thinking of Kompany, de Bruyne and Courtois.

Deal?

In the first place Verstappen "was" Belgian ....Remember ?
Probably he moved to Holland to avoid the insane Belgian taxes , that's what we heard over here and probably he's right but think for next year he needs to move to Monaco for the right deal .
For this people of course it's all about financial specualation , and personal I would do the same thing because Belgium really sucks !

About our football players...I'm still not sure enough of them and they need to show it more and for a longer period like the Dutch were showing for the last 10 years because the Dutch were always better than the Belgians and a lot !
So let's say...." For the moment " they are top .
And of course bro we have a deal even when other Belgians would have the shit about it

Well COTA got blasted again this past weekend. You thought F1 weekend was bad.

Over 15 inches of rain in 12 hours.

There definitely wouldn't have been a race with that much rain!

Edit* What the?!? I didn't even know there was a race today in Mexico, I thought it was next week! We never even had a Mexico race thread in this forum. Argh!!
