Anyone also noticed something similar on the horn pad of the steering wheel? I test drove a 2010 car this weekend, and as well as the dash indentation it had a rectangular area of discoloration right in the center of the steering wheel, about the same height as the roundel and around an inch wider on either side. I'm guessing this is also for the airbag cutout.

I have the indent on my 128 and I thought someone had put their shoes on my dash (honey, love the stilettos but keep them off the dash please

The idea of having the dash taken apart and the resulting rattles bothers me more than the indents right now.

They would have replaced the dash several years ago, but this problem is monor and now they will say it is normal. Motorwerks has always done right by me.

See the SI Bulletin listed in the other thread:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...0&postcount=94

"A slight depression or outline may be visible on the top, passenger side of the instrument panel. This outline is created by the perforated edge of the lid covering the passenger front airbag. This outline is a normal condition and is visible on most vehicles.

Due to normal variation, the outline may be more noticeable on some cars than others.

Do not replace any parts for this situation, as this is a normal condition and it will not provide an improvement."
