The computer generated key designs allow for an infinite number of key patterns. The narrow groove resists the intrusion of lock removal tools into the pattern"

Wheel thieves equipped with the OEM BMW keys ("borrowed" or stolen from a dealership) will try to no avail, or not even attempt. A set of wheel locks is a one-time $40 investment for your car that reduces the risk of wheel theft and damage.

Infinite number of key patterns is somehow reassuring, although the 8 numbers I need to supply to get a key copied suggest otherwise. I'm choosing to believe wheel thieves are not out there with 100 million keys ....

Those pictures make my stomach turn, they should be rated R.

They are nice enough to leave your car jacked up by the rock

Im not trying to be a dick, so forgive me if I sound like one. But you have a nice car, and one that stands out as being awesome in a lot of ways. Why is this surprising?

Ive been pulled over and had two officers pull their weapons at me because an SGM 135 vert was stolen last year in my area by an armed person and they thought it was me.

Or park close to the sidewalk (without scratching the rims): can save 2 of the 4 rims. 1 of the black cup wheels of the red M3 was "saved" this way (or wheel thieves ran out of time): unbolted the wheel but did not manage to get away with it.

Indeed. Especially as I live near and work in London...

I was once told by a car clamping/towing chap that used a special key to unlock my VW at the time that BMWs were the only cars that they couldn't open.

Guessing the crooks have caught up.

Wheel locks only deter the idiots. There are plenty of ways to get around them and if youre a thief that knows what theyre doing than you might as well not have them

I was referring to the initial thread about vehicle theft not wheels. This towing guy had a key to open the car and take the handbrake off to allow it to be towed it onto his truck. He said they had keys to enter most cars except BMWs.
