Extended Maintenence/Warranty
Anyone have any experience/desire to buy these. I was reading horror stories about transmission replacements repairs and I am experiencing true Halloween terror. (8200 cash). We all know BMWs are notoriously expensive to maintain (125$ hr labor...are you kidding me) does anyone have any thoughts?

The day I paid off the car I opted for the BMW Original Owner's Protection Plan. I am not sure if extended maintenance and warranty are two different things or all in the same. The little brochure for it that I am looking at right now states two years/50,000 miles of quality extended coverage and it goes on to specify that it covers the following: Engine & Fuel System, Cooling System, Transmission, Final Drive Assembly, Suspension Systems, Steering, Brakes & ABS, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning System, and Interior/Exterior. In my opinion it was worth the piece of mind and I plan to keep this car for the long term.

I plan to buy extended warranty
My co-worker said he was regret not bought extended warranty - it's expensive, man.
Extended Manufacture and maintenance warranty are separate ones, but I think need to buy both to make sense.

When I was thinking of purchasing the 135i, I also looked at the option of keeping my Z4 with an extended warranty and Maintenance plan.
The Extended Warranty was for two years/100k miles and cost about $2200. If I remember correctly the extended warranty did not cover all that the original one covered and had a $50 deductible every time you take you car to the dealer even if it was for the same problem. The Maintenance plan keeps the oil changes, brakes and wipers going which was $1200 for two years/100k miles. So for a total for $3400 you can keep your car going for two more years under the plan. I decided to get a new 135i. The deal I had going to get the 135i was I had to give my Z4 and $15000. $ 15000 - $ 6800 4 Years maintenance on Z4 car if you could get it. BMW only offers 2 years. - $ 1200 Z4 was ready for tires if I kept it. ----------- $ 7000 Cost 135i for 4 years worry free. It was well worth it to me to get a new 135i for $7000. And the Z4 most likely would have cost more since not everything like radio, and other non engine electronics is not covered under the extended warranty. On my BMW’s I always hit the time limit before the mileage limit on the warranty. If I drove 50k miles in two years I would get the extended plans.
