Indy shops around San Antonio/Austin

Does anyone have a recommended Indy shop, for BMW's of course, around the San Antonio/Austin area.

My car hasn't been worked on there but I've heard good things about Dr. Beemer in Austin.

German Car Specialists in San Antonio. They've done maintenance and modification on all of my cars since 2005. They built two highly modified Audi's for me. They specialize in Porsche, Audi, and BMW. They've done quite a few ESS SC installs on M3's, go to their website https://www.mygermancarsa.com/ and check our their resume. Should I decide to mod this car (not really likely, for personal reasons completely unrelated), I wouldn't have anyone else do it. They do all my maintenance, too, because BMW of SA sucks so bad I won't even take it there for the free maintenance. I'd rather pay GCS.

When I do a google map I see a car wash and a pig stand. Where is it located with regards to these two establishments? I think I found it behind the pig stand place.

I get a lot of my work done by www.soulspeed.com - They're not to far from the airport in Austin off Burleson. Their rates are good, and Collin's known for doing great jobs prepping cars for COTA.

I'll chime in for Dr. Beemer and Soulspeed.

tl:dr both are good.

Had an oil change and quick lookover done at Dr. Beemer (bought it used so didn't know the full history) and they were good. A little on the pricey side but you get the traditional service adviser experience: they will sit you down, go over paperwork, options, make recommendations etc. They also have more bays and a nicer facility.

Had my plugs changed and an alignment at Soulspeed. Their rates were very good but it's more of a "guy that loves cars and gets paid to work on them" deal. Their place is in an industrial park and they have one bay (that I could see) but their work was still top-notch. They're not going to chat you up about recommendations and scheduled maintenance if that's what you're looking for. I would have actually done the plugs myself but I would have had to get the plug tool and a ratchet extension (not to mention the 2hrs it would have probably taken me to do it) and Collin's quote came in much lower than I was expecting (almost half of Dr. Beemer's quote) so I was happy to drop it off and have them take care of the alignment.

Used PMW before. Before a trip to New Orleans - had them do my brakes. They evidently hand-tightened one of the caliper bolts on the rear of my 330xi. I lost the bolt in Baton Rouge while braking for a semi that cut me off, caliper was grinding against the rotor and rear end swung out. Had to pull over, pull the caliper off the rotor, limp it back to a local shop and get overcharged to install a bolt.

Won't trust a shop that's this careless again. I called them and they didn't offer anything to compensate me for my trouble (and potential catastrophe)

Dude I have used Soulspeed for all of my work- with the exception of German Auto center the first time i took my car to a shop. GAC was good but were real sticklers, kinda frowned on me providing my own parts (downpipe) and having them do the labor. Im like "Im paying you 120 an hour and your giving me shit?"

Collin is a great honest dude. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone for good quality work at a fair price.

I have used Cooper's Beemers and Benz in San Antonio several times for my vehicle. They do all my maintenance when I don't have the time or effort. Jesse is the lead tech and he knows his stuff. I have been to a few other shops and they want to nickel and dime you around. Jesse's pretty cool about stuff and will work with you.
