Is it really possible???
OK i was just told a Mid Feb build which then results in a June delivery! I mean its not that out of the question. i used to sell acuras and for orders would be a 10-12 week wait to delivery!

Well, did you get a production number? It's highly unlikely that BMW will build these cars in feb and won't deliver them until June. I called BMW's toll free number to ask about the production date just to see if it was different from what the dealer told me and the person I spoke with informed me that my car was scheduled for production the first week of feb and to expect delivery in four to six weeks after that. So am just going to wait and see what happens.

The dealer I placed a deposit with only has 2 cars on allocation for the first build, and those will be used as demos. It seems several smaller dealers I talked to only got a couple cars from the early builds.
I'm wondering if I should try to get my deposit back and reorder the car from some of the NE dealers who have their allocations and production numbers. Could somebody 'in the know' chime in with what's happening here? Are low-volume dealers beeing squeezed out of initial allocations? |
