Mirrors gone mad
So, all of a sudden, when I fold the mirrors, either manually or using CA, when they unfold the mirrors on BOTH sides are aligned down, (like the passenger mirror when set for reverse). The tilt for reverse feature still works fine.
I've not messed with anything, they never used to do this, very annoying ! Has anyone else experienced this ? |

Haven't seen this myself, you're saying that the mirrors auto-fold with the glass set normally and then when they straighten out they've tilted down? I didn't even know the driver's side had the ability to tilt like the passenger mirror. I also would have figured that the auto-fold function wouldn't have any impact on the glass positioning.
Sorry for my lack of help on this one, I'd suggest a call to a dealership to see if it's a known issue

I had this problem with my previous E92. I never fixed it but I believe the solution was cleaning the harness on the motor or something along those lines.

I've read similar, I just thought it very strange both mirrors would start doing it at the same time, and only when they're folded / unfolded, (I've read about one or the other adjusting themselves at random).

its called ghost phantom mirrors pull the mirror glass out and unscrew the circular motor then clean the metal pins theres 6 i believe. Use a Q -tip and some alcohol and try your best not to bend the pins if this doesnt fix it then you need a new motor/mirror assmbly
