"Service Engine Soon" light on the way to Emissions

Bought out of state. Emissions was good in previous state, but I have to go to emissions again in my state.

Been driving my 2010 135i for a week. No issues. Normal druving. No lights. Was going to emissions this morning. It was cold. Let the car warm up for 20 minutes, then let it rip on the highway. Really got the RPMs up. Accelerated hard a few times and might have gotten a little carried away... 😀

At some point my "Service Engine Soon" light came on.
I assume this will fail me.

So, is there a way to reset this?
Can I just change the oil or something?
Or did I really screw something up?

Thanks
Shamus

You need to pull any codes it has stored.

There are a variety of ways to do this. Carly, MHD, etc.
