It has the charcoal filter and I left it in situ. If there are any gains to be had there, they'll be minuscule in my opinion. Not worth the mess.

The intake makes a small change to the sound but the newness has worn off and I don't notice it anymore. Like I said above, I'd do both mods simultaneously since they compliment each other so well.

The wife was complaining about her 09 328i coupe felt sluggish off the line. When I changed the air filter I took out the charcoal filter and she said she didn't notice anything.
Got her a Pedal Box and that made her happy.

There is one available for the N54 by Dinan and Gruppe M I believe makes one for the N55. The N55 one is $3k however.
