audio volume not lowering when navigation is giving directions!
this was working fine, until today....now when the navigation's voice comes to say something, the audio level (tuner, ipod, etc) does not decrease!
it used to automatically lower, when instructions where being given....is there a setting that I can check for this?

Reboot the system by simultaneously pressing both of the eject buttons and the mute (power) button.
I think it just got into a weird mode. If that doesn't work, you need service. |

well...it seems I've found a small "software bug".
apparently there is a threshold point, in which if the volume level of the navigation is within a 10% of the audio level, and the overall audio level is > 35-40% of the total volume, then there is no attenuation. I tested several scenarios, both in this car and in a 335i, and same issue. dunno why BMW would do this, because it would make sense to me that no matter how loud your listening level is, it should still be attenuated once the navigation is doing a command (no matter what the navigation's level is).
