My 2003 e46 M3 is named Greta, my 2007 Cayman is named Liesel...My wife's 2005 Mini Cooper S was named Kate; we traded Kate for a presently nameless 2007 328i (at least it is a manual transmission).

Sometimes I name them, usually not. Often the color suggests a name to me hence my Positano Yellow '71 Fiat Spider was "Mellow Yellow" and my current 528i (Steel Blue) is "The Blue Max".

We have named him Buzz Whiteyear (Buzz for short), because my wife had so much fun on the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disney, it just seemed right somehow?!

I've never named my cars -- I don't mean to bash others if that's what you want to do, but this story is pretty funny: When I was younger and single, my roommate had a pet name for his beloved Eagle Talon. I always gave him a hard time about how stupid I thought he was for naming his car. Finally I caved in, and I named my '87 325is "Your Mom". That way I could say stuff like, "I'm taking Your Mom for a ride," or "Let's all pile in to Your Mom."
