Never heard this before

P0128 code from the OBD reader.
Mechanic recommended I replace the radiator. Soo I did. Now mechanic is saying the thermostat & maybe the hoses.

Car is making this sound. Best way to describe it (driving on the interstate with the window cracked)

In this video the car wasn’t even turned on. I just opened the door. Because if that Not sure if it’s electrical. Even does it while driving.

That sound is likely electrical interference and coming from your speaker/s. Hold year ear up to them to determine.

For my money, with code P0128, I’d replace the coolant temperature sensor. It is likely no longer reading correctly. That code indicates the coolant is running too cool, which would be highly unlikely. The thermostat fails open, and either way the sensor is on the engine, and engines always create heat when running. I would not have started with the radiator. I think it’s time for a new mechanic.

Thank you for the reply. I checked the sound isn’t coming from the speakers. I’ve let it sit…now as soon as I put the key in it makes a loud buzzing sound. Most likely an electrical issue (makes sense..my sunroof leaked at one point during the winter..guess the problem is just showing up). I’m guessing it will be thousands to repair. I attached a new video.

Maybe start pulling fuses and testing to see if you can narrow it down to a specific circuit?

Is that dangerous on these cars? They're so electronically complex I always hesitate to give advice on the subject.

Very strange.

If not speakers, maybe fuel pump? Something with the tank venting?

I say since sound happens when you put key in, and it sounds like a vibrator lol.

But maybe look in trunk at amp see if rust on connectors?

Or cd player wedged disc or belt snapped?

Is all of the climate control stuff off?

What direction is the sound coming from?

Did you check the under seat speakers? I would pull the radio fuse real quick just to eliminate that.

Sound is on the driver side only. Near the OBD port.

Almost positive I remember a little speaker in the panel below the steering wheel. Probably the seatbelt chime or something. Check that out. Pretty easy to access and unplug if that stops it the sound it will point you in the right direction for sure.
