West Coast Delievery??

My CA told me my 330i is on the ship at Port Hueneme. He said they haven't been unloaded maybe because of the 4th holiday. I called today and he said no change, it's still on the ship. Is this normal?

He couldn't tell me what ship it was (name, etc.).

Mine was on the seijin also. Did you get yours yet? It's been 10 days since seijin docked. I'm still waiting for my car. they say it won't get here till the 13th.

Hmm, I just checked the SDMIS site and don't see any vehicle carrying cargo ships in port. Although I can't say how accurate the info is. As Danny mentioned previously, the Sagittarius is to arrive this evening. Check out http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/

The same thing happened to me. I put the deposit on my car june 20th, he said the ship was going to be in port june 21st- so i should have my car 5-7 days after. Nope- i didnt get my car for about 11 days. Supposedly it was cause my car may have been in the back of the ship and by the time they unload/go thro custom/clean/inspect..etc, it got held back. We checked it daily and he sometimes checked 3-4x a day, and nothing would change. It didnt change until 2 days before i got my car.

My car was also on the seijin.... I have yet to receive it.... 800 # says car is still waiting at dock...

what dealer did you order yours from? Did your dealer tell you the 13th also?

I didn't order mine. Mine is supposed to be a dealer trade. My CA found the one I'm getting and said it was still on the ship at the port.

I'm getting it from BMW of Riverside.

800# tells me it's still in transit and to contact the dealership.

How do I find out what ship my car is on?

I got my car from Nick Alexander Imports in LA... dealer called today, car will be ready for pickup on friday the 15th.....

When you check on OC, what does it tell you? Mine says Order Tracking - in transit to processing center (on main screen). If I click on Order Tracking, it says En Route.

Could you provide me with your impressions of Nick Alexanders and, if not asking too much, how it goes when you pick up your car (ie. "extras", offers, etc). I've also purchased my car through them (through Fleet) and expect to pick up about a week after you. Thanks and congrats on getting your car soon!

I actually went through Fleetrates.com and they choose Nick Alexander, so I have not yet been to the dealer. My sales guy is Don who is in the fleet department there at Nick A. I will let you know how everything goes after i pick up...

Mine says the same thing. Dealer said this was incorrect.

hi all

my car was completed on 6/31 and is sitting at the port awaiting a ship to go the west coast - or thats what the 800 lady says. checking out the shipping website i dont know what ship that it will be on. anyone out there with their car in a similar siutation and time frame?

Well, the OC and 800# still show my car as in transit. I know others are saying this is wrong, but I figured it would be updated by this morning.

That's where i bought mine. They said it finally got on a truck on Friday the 8th. Hopefully it gets to the dealer today.

What ship was yours on? Did it get to Port Hueneme on or around 7/1?

As I have also asked Bzzbenz, let me know how it goes at Nick Alexanders. My car is due to arrive there early next week. Although I've bought my car through Nick's, I have yet to deal with anyone there directly.

I was told last Tuesday that the ship was docked and the car was still on it. He said for some reason, it was held up, maybe because of the holiday.

I went to take care of the financing yesterday and i was pleasantly surprised. Did all the research and was ready to haggle and they gave me a better payment than i had expected. No haggling necessary. If you want more details, let me know. Aside from having to wait so long for my car to get here, i was happy with the experience.
