What about JKVK headers from alibaba?
Has been discussed before.

Hit 60k miles today, I've had all the common issues:
Waterpump, ofhg, valve cover gasket, and starter have all been replaced.

Fuel pump is on it's way out, considering the b58 pump when that happens as it flows 17% more fuel according to a thread here and isn't 2k like the rest of the ridiculous fuel pump options we have.

What about coolant reservoir or belt tensioner?

Not since I purchased it, but it had 39.8k miles when I bought it, so possibly. My steering pump also sounds like it's dying a slow death.

Best to stick with the brands that most people on here have. Fit is crucial on any car, but especially on these.
So you have experience with rounderlwerk and jkvk?

Ugh, finally put in those vrsf downpipes today. Not as easy as the tutorials make it out to be. But doing it with jackstands, most of the day is spent crawling out and under the car. Also flashed MHD stg2+ and of course it's raining so I can't really test it out until tomorrow

Completed my 670 mile round trip, and well and truly broke in the MPS4s. To sum it up : wow.
I really wasn't expecting much difference from the MPSS, and perhaps it's the quality alignment I had done while rolling tired tires. But the 4s are fantastic. Turn-in is sharp, but impacts are not. Car responds all of a piece. Responsive. Balanced. Loads of grip. So much grip there was no way to test them out as they approach their limits. Eibach springs, Koni sports, M3 arb, RSFB inserts, a bit of negative camber, and these tires. The car responds and drives the way I knew a 1er could, but it never quite had before.
Love em. Really.

Only had one rainy morning, so no hydroplaning test. But I drove like it was dry, and had no issues.

Been off the forums for a long while. Summary of the last 1.5 yrs
-Exhaust leaked- went back to 128i stock. Maybe headers or magnaflow exhaust.
-n52 valve cover gasket & oil filter housing gasket. ( must take off wipers to do it safely) Did not do MILVS - as I dont want to retune car ,,, yet.
-Front Leather seats, boston leather black to replace leatherette.
-akg selector rod/dssr, and new bushings.
-Acs type III wheels & 235/40/18 gmax-rs general tires.
-TOP MOUNTS for rear shocks - repalce to poly and replace metal cup- they rust & break!! Soon will do new shocks.
-abs sensors - rear.

Breaking discovery - I found 1.5 gallons of trunk space. Some lower spec cars like 128 have a BIG hole under the right hand side corner carpet. Noticed that the floor is a plastic plate, and its empty for my spec. I now cut open the carpet, removed the plate, but a old back back in there and stuffed it with things. Its awesome.

The tails look better than I thought they would against the red. Still debating blacklines as I like the prelci better. We'll see when more of the wrap is done how it all comes together. I keep thinking of picking up a spare set of prelci and cutting them open to make "blacklines"

That's cool!! How hard is it to wrap the bumpers with all the curves? Being able to change color for awhile is an great option

Thanks! Bumpers take some special care and we use a vinyl adhesion promotor on those. The 1M bumper is particularly difficult and had to be done in multiple pieces. Very hard to see seams unless you're right up against the bumper

Carmine Red also happens to be my excoworker's favorite pencil color to mark up and cloud drawings. (Construction/Architectural)

Looks awesome so far on your car.

Anyone ever matched carmine up to BMW crimson?

If I send you a envelope with postage would you send me a scrap 4x4 piece to compare to Crimson red on my car?

Fun to read your posts. Don't really post here anymore but love to read how you change your car up every other month or so. No reason to ever get bored. It's pretty cool and I hope you keep it up. New red looks pretty good! What will be next, I'm wondering? lol

Vinyl is great in this respect, especially if you can do it yourself/have help from friends. It would be pretty costly if I didn't.

Honestly, red might just be the color I was looking for to stay around. I've got much bigger plans for the car and nailing down the permanent color had to eventually happen. I want to start bringing some of that color into custom interior stuff.
