Headlight Lens Covers with Clear Corners
I have new BavGruppe 1 series headlight lens plastic covers for LCI and pre-LCI models and new N5 Tuner clear corners (amber corner reflecter replacements) for sale. Willing to sell separately or together. |

I will have to say, these are a huge PITA to replace but when you do, it's really rewarding to see the super clear lens. It WILL make your headlights look brand new.

I’m sure, and that’s why I’m interested. However, my independent BMW mechanic told me that once you break that seal, you often get condensation behind the lens cover.

Totally depends how well you seal it back up afterwards. If it's open to the environment it'll certainly fog up and corrode the components. If it's completely sealed you'll be fine. The devil is in the details though, how well you can seal it back up. Which means how well you can make a clean cut on the old one, how good is your adhesive, how much abuse will the headlight see from sunlight or bumps in the road, and so on.

Not really, your question was just convoluted. It’s not the solid plastic lenses that leak. It’s the seal that’s applied when installing them. I have these lenses, they’re OE quality. You’d need to get some proper glue and do it right for them not to leak.
