no crank no start

After installing precesion race work ignition kit drive for bout an hour then stopped at a gas station for 5 min completely dead when I tried to turn it on key stuck in the ignition???

Simplistic answer, but first thing that popped into my mind: Have you tried turning the steering wheel slightly in both directions to see if that frees up the key, allowing it to turn?
