YAM: Yet another M

So Friday before last I was out shopping for a new Mini for the misses. Since it was raining cats and dogs outside (not to mention the arctic temperatures we've been having for the last 2 months or so) I decided to take a shortcut through the attached BMW stealership back to my car. And there it stood. A brand new M coupe, VO. Stripper spec. Well almost - it's got that big satnav thingie. What can I say, it was love at first sight... 30 minutes after laying eyes on it for the first time it was mine!

I took delivery this weekend and I have to admit that so far the car exceeds my expectations. It's a real looker, it rides like a charm - it just fits. Those of you who have one know what I'm talking about

Ah in case you're wondering - I live in Luxembourg. It's what the "L" on the license plates stand for.

Take heart in the fact that the same car you pay $50,000 for, costs probably $70,000 for these same Europeans lucky enough to get one. I started the process to get a US-spec'd 1M in Jan...finally got an allotment in August, received car on 11.11.11. paid almost $51,000, so with our pain comes some benefits.

Aetey....willkommen und congrats on your "find". Join us 1M'ers and other fellow 1Addicts in early May on a drive to BMW Welt or in June for the Stelvio, Italy drive. Nice choice of colors
