BBS CK

After having experimented with a couple of sets of replica wheels, I've decided to do things right this time, and spend a little more for a high quality product. Does anyone here have any experience with the BBS CK rims? I'd be interested to get any feedback on them.

Also, I have two questions...

Which color should I get on a jet black car, silver or anthracite?
Will the BBS CK rims take a BMW center cap?

Matt! Good going man!!!! Sorry you had a bit of a journey to get to this point, but your here!!

BBS CK's are good rims, but kinda heavy though. They only list 19" sizes for the e90 on Tirerack. Do you want 19 inch rims?

Also, I'm pretty sure all BBS rims take the BMW Roundel...

EDIT: Jet black looks HOTT with silver rims...stands out alot!

Danny

CH's are cool, just a lot more money, that's all. Also, I kinda like the style of the CK's a little better. I could only get the CH's in 18 (can't afford more).

What about Breyton Magics? Would you say Bretons are better than BBS? Are there other ("better") rims to consider under $400 each?

Matt.

I usually prefer companies like BBS over designer brands. I vote for BBS!

OK, Good to know. I'm probably going with the CK's. Do you really think the Silver will look better than the Antracite color? I like the Anthracite, but don't know how it will look on a jet black car.

On the tires, what do you think of the Kumho SPT. I know it's an entry level tire, but many folks have said that it's very quiet and comfortable, even if handling is not as tight as the F1's. I'm very limited on choices in the 235/35/R19 size.

Man, The finish is strickly taste, I think both will look hott really, so you can't go wrong between the two.

Get the best tires you can in that size, if the Kumho SPT's are it, then so be it!

Silver!

I used to have a black g35 coupe and wheels on a black car look insane when they are silver. The contrast is better and will make the wheels stand out... Go for the silver.. If you get the other color it might just look like they are dirty wheels..

Matt.
In terms of quality? Definitely not. Breytons have been known to be "soft" wheels and BBS wheels on the other hand are known to be some of the best quality (strong) wheels around.

the anthracite may match brake dust very nicely

meaning you won't have to clean them

What about some tires for these puppies? I want a tire that is as quiet and comfortable as possible. Treadwear is also important. Handling is less important. Advice?

I think the Diamond black finish would look good if you're going for a dark look on the whole car. ( http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15704 )
Otherwise, I'd probably go for the silver for the contrast.

I've been trying to decide if I want to mod my car at all when I get it and I'm running into the same problem. When ever I do things I don't like going cheap. I usually go for the higher quality stuff cause you usually get what you pay for. That of course means a lot of money when talking cars.

Dude, get CH's. CK's are non-staggered only, which is not cool.
