If you don't mind me asking, how much did your dealer charge to remedy the headlight washer leak?

Finished some front end tweaks. M2-like kidney grille and removal of the horizontal trim pieces in front of the brake air duct.

Very nice I'd like to get rid of the horizontal bars as well. Previous owner really beat the crap out of the bumper so I need new eventually. But for now I'd like to lose the bars.

After months and months of searching, even talking myself out of the apex group buy , I have finally acquired the advan racing wheels in 1er spec I’ve always wanted.
Got em stuffed in there with extra rubber even though I’m getting rid of the 225 fronts. Rear fit is almost ideal They say never meet your idols. I’m slightly disappointed that these wheels have looked amazing on every color I’ve seen them on, but there’s something about it on my lbm that’s throwing me off. Maybe I need to add blacklines? A little bit lower? Maybe get them refinished in another color? Hopefully they grow on me. |

Spent a weekend at Summit Point...without my 1'er. It's still in Texas.
Drove my sister's '17 VW Jetta Sport and my father's '17 VW GTI Sport. The Jetta taught me some good things about smoothness, how to not overdrive a car, and how to give point-by's. Lots of point-by's. The GTI taught me that I have no hope in hell of keeping-up with my father on the track. That thing's an absolute beast. Lift-off oversteer is far too entertaining, and FWD doesn't suck as bad as I thought it would. Weird. I really missed my car, though. But, it wouldn't have been quite as fun as it was...it's kinda missing an LSD right now.

Been meaning to ask someone who knows about vinyl wraps. How long do they last? Thinking about wrapping vs paint vs dip/spray.

I'm very happy with Eibach springs and Koni dampers if you're heading that way. I'm not a huge fan of black wheels on the darker blues - would probably go gunmetal or silver. But my daughter disagrees and thinks I should go black on DSB. It's really personal taste. The design looks great on your car! |

Definitely do Blacklines. Even though it's subtle, it does make a difference and it's hard to unsee it once it's on your car (nice color btw). A couple posts up you shall find mine. Also, don't pay 350/400 for em, if you wanna know where I got em for a ridiculously good price just shoot a message and I'll be happy to tell ya |

From what I've seen, autoflex is a really good option if you have someone around that sprays it. It is done very similar to real paint and the price is around what a vinyl wrap would be. Big plus on being able to mix custom colors. If I had my own garage, I'd probably spray autoflex instead of wrap just to try it for myself

I can personally vouch that headers are not a part you want to try and save a buck with on these cars. Install is a PITA...I still have scars. Best to stick with the brands that most people on here have. Fit is crucial on any car, but especially on these.
