passenger headlight went out - condensation
Just got a new (to me) 2008 135i. It was a garaged car by the previous owner.
The car had the adaptive headlight light on the dash when I got it. I drove the car for about an hour a few nights ago (first drive) with no issue (all lights worked and where on the entire drive) It rained super hard the last few days and the car was in the driveway. I went for a drive tonight and not even 5 minutes into the drive I get a warning light on the dash I don't recognize but knew it had something to do with the headlights. I pulled over and sure as shit the passenger headlight was out. The halo's were still working perfectly fine on both headlights but the headlight itself only worked on the driver side. I did a bunch of searching tonight and found the passenger side headlight seems to be a problem with this issue. My question is, what can I do to fix this condensation issue and am I going to have to replace the entire headlight? I could care less about adaptive headlights and as long as they are straight and the headlights actually work that adaptive headlights working don't matter. Thanks in advance! |

I had the same problem and was able to fix it. See the thread below:
