I'm leaning towards "DER 1M" very close to what was mentioned in an earlier reply
or "ONLY 1"

OK, I have one that's very 1MAGINEative. However, there are so many 1Ms arriving in Georgia over the next few weeks that I can't share it until after it's safely M1NE (and no, neither of those are it). I can guarantee that it's NOT1AME. (no, that's not it either).

ahhhhh, I almost got this but was waiting for my official allocation, got it 2 days ago and immediately went to get this to only find it gone! At least I know where it went.
Congrats, I just didn't want to be running around with a 1m on my GTI for 4 months then only find out I didn't get the car. |

I am wondering which is the proper spelling of the 1M "pirate" code name. I am confused since BMW doesn't seem to be consistent.
Pyrat - As in the orange colored rum rumored to be a favorite amongst M engineers. This spelling has been used for certain internal documents posted courtesy of Dackelone (http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ne#post8382613). Pirat - This spelling was used for the license plate seen on 1MSC Step 3 video (featuring Dr. Seigler taking off his helmet at the end, http://youtu.be/1spzeR-giq4). Ive only seen it as 'pyrat' in official releases and magazine/online articles. If rumor is true that the name is based off the rum loved by M-eningeers, then 'pyrat' it is. The only place I saw otherwise from BMW was that plate. My guess is thats the closest plate to 'pyrat' they could get for the marketing.

for a state that requires five characters = ONEMM (or ONEEM) for a state that requires six characters = ONEMMM (or ONEEMM)
