Soon...I find it that the time it takes to write an extensive review is time I rather spend driving lol I'll probably just compare to my 135i w/ performance suspension...you know the list would be too long for me to compare to every previous ride haha.

On my way home from the gym 30 minutes ago everyone just stopped and stared when the beast cranked up and I started driving away. Also, a buddy was following me around town today in his gorgeous e92 M3 and he was amazed/impressed and had nothing but great things to say about the car! Another friend asked me to drop by his place and he immediately pulled out the camera when he saw me show up...then we both stood around the car and drooled together as we discussed my acquisition |

Same-same! Just yesterday I had a maintenance guy in my building run up and stop me as I was leaving my building. He wanted to know all about the car. So far, I've had everyone from homeless guys to BMW-philes at the dealership compliment the car and/or take photos of it. it's a bit too high profile for me, but the one thing I do like is when some mook driving a lowered Honda with the buzz bomb exhaust takes one look at the car and realizes that he has made some very poor automotive choices.

I was looking at pictures of AW 1Ms at work, and one of my colleagues came up and asked why I was looking at pictures of that particular car. I told her that it was because the one I bought was on its way over to the States on a cargo ship in the Atlantic. Her reply?

Funny, my VO 1M gets very little attention. For most it seems it's just another 1-series. In the two months I've had it, I've probably been stopped only 5 times...

And with that, I will refrain from further comments. I had all sorts of ideas for the picture I'd attach to this post ... |

You see, here's another practical fringe benefit of the 1M compared to the Cayman R: the 1M has rear seats...

i drive across the GWB in morning traffic 4 days a week, i would say 5/10 people turn their heads and actually stare for +5 seconds, which is a long time. I will agree that the VO makes a very big difference. AW and BSM will not get as much attention. Thumbs up and picture phones in my rearview mirror daily!!!

Another female came to me today at work to tell me she wanted to take some shots with the car as well, then she stuck around asking about the car and listening to my story encompassing the last 8 months as I waited. It seems like chicks dig it too which is surprising for such a bold car.

although i live in a rural area it is amazing how much attention the 1M gets - kind of funny what i have been missing all those years of driving debadged sleeper cars... with kiyo driving in front of me in his VO we had a cable car driver ringing the bell, bus drivers giving thumbs up, police car passing by two or three times checking out our cars, guys in modded z3 and 335 revving their engines... young guys jumping up from their seats at a cafe starting to scream and cheer... some older e30M3 owner chatted about 30min about the car... young kids telling me it is a super-car... hot chicks pass by staring (ok thats probably me, not the car )

I would be ONE OF THOSE GUYS hanging out the car with my cell phone camera IF I COULD ONLY FIND ONE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF!! I still have not seen a single 1M in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Silicon Valley area.
