So basically if you order a car that has to come from Germany there is no way to take advantage of this offer?

Just took delivery of the 135 'vert I ordered in December.
Instead of paying cash as planned, I took the 3.9% loan with first 2 months paid by BMW. Very straight-forward loan. It *is* simple interest with no prepayment penalty, no Rule of 78. I will most likely pay off the loan in full within a few months. My already great deal just got more than $1K sweeter and I can hang onto my cash a bit longer. |

Yep. Unless you jumped on it a month ago. It kinda makes sense though. BMW, like all the car companies, wants to move cars now. Short term offer like this encourage people to take the cars that are available on the dealer lots. You can still get the low financing rate. It's good for 60 days from approval of your application.

When you order a car and you finance, do your payments begin after you receive the car or when you initially order (I assume they don't order a car until you sign for it...)?

it is NOT an "extension" the program was designed from the start to cover both feb & march. It was never a 1 month deal. It runs until the end of this month, at which time BMW may or may not (more likely) continue it.

I took advantage of this program yesterday. I planned to pay cash, but financed around 17K for 24 months. By doing this, the payment came out to $750/month which is the maximum BMW will cover. Dealer will let you determine the loan term and amount. I structured it in this way because the amount of interest paid is minimized. After the two payments, I will pay off the loan.
The financial advisor at the dealer mentioned that I had to keep the loan for a total of six months or BMWFS would ask for their payments back. I've not heard this information before. I found this on the BMWFS FAQ website (http://fs.bmwusa.com/BmwFsPulp/CSTTLS_FAQ.htm): Q. I've heard that some financing contracts can't be paid off without a penalty. Is that true? A. Not with BMW Financial Services financing. Our loans and retail installment contracts can be paid off at any time without penalty. You can also make additional payments during your loan or retail installment sales contract to reduce your interest charges and shorten the term. Hopefully, the advisor was misinformed. |

Still True?
Rickster311, is this still true? I contacted dealers here in FL and they said that ED is not included with the 3.9% + 2 free months offer because I have to take delivery by 3/31. Who is your dealer? Maybe I will order from them if they can guarantee this.
