Difference of exhaust fitment e88 vs e82

Does anyone know the fitment differences for an exhaust for e82 on the e88. I am looking to get BMR exhaust but they don't know if it will fit the e88. Is there extra bracing in the back since it's a convertible
Thanks!

I dont think so as Turner doesnt show diff systems for E82 or E88 search. But I know in the past on some BMW models, the coupe exhaust did not fit the convertible.

Easiest would be to check the part number for the axleback on realoem.

it seems the exhaust part#s are identical. Just can't tell if there is extra bracing that would get in the way of a larger 3.5inch exhaust. Real oem doesn't seem to just show the underside x-braces (or i am horrible at finding it)

There is bracing in back on E88. Don't have a clue how/if it would interfere with aftermarket exhaust though I do have Dinan Axle and braces are forward of that.

E88 is different at cross brace by having the pipe slightly flattened so it goes over top of brace without hitting it. I switched my original exhaust for a 1m and had to have this done. If you go under car you should be able to see how pipe has a flat spot.

Never mind I see what you meant you swapped original exhaust for a 1m exhaust. I wanted to get the 3.5 inch black market racing exhaust now I have to figure out if that would get in the way without purchasing it first haha

3.5" exhaust basically doesn't fit either. It will take fiddling no matter what unless you have an oval cross section made

It won't fit.
I was under the car over the weekend looking at the e88 exhaust. The rear bracing is extremely close to the exhaust piping.
I wanted to sleeve the middle resonator but because of the bracing it blocked me from just dropping the rear muffler back section to access the middle resonator.

Hmm interesting. Do you know if any of the exhausts would fit, like the berk racing exhaust?
