He’s a crackpot and you are holding him as some beacon of truth. It’s so bizarre that people like you will embrace any unhinged, unfounded conspiracy theory as absolute unquestionable truth, but overwhelming peer reviewed research on climate change is the myth to your ilk. And you have the nerve to tell me to wake up. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.

Skyscraper Excellent post. I acknowledge my role in diverting the discussion by repeatedly engaging with a loon.

From the Enlightenment in the days of Bacon, Descartes, Newton Et Al up until our recent era of 'My Truth", Science has been defined by the Scientific Method. Scientific Method requires a hypothesis to be proven by experimentation that produces repeatable empirical data. Computer modeling fed by selected (one could say cherry picked) data provided by those called scientists whose funding and livelihoods depend on reaching certain acceptable conclusions, or the "overwhelming consensus" of same is not Science as defined by the Scientific Method.
Galileo Galilei was tried and convicted by the Inquisition for the heresy of denying the Geocentric model of the universe, against the overwhelming consensus of learned people of the day that the Earth does not in fact revolve around the sun; we refer to that belief today as "religious dogma". I submit that todays "Climate Science" is indistinguishable from 16th century religious dogma. |

BTW, we don’t get the lowest trim levels in the US. If you lived here, you’d know that. How many profiles / personalities do you have? |

WRONG. I didn’t tell you or anyone else a damn thing about what to drive. I said I accept the science of climate change and you under the guise of your alternate profile have been the one obsessed with my car FOR DAYS. Get your damn facts straight.

You shit all over my car, saying it’s an econobox, no it’s a gas guzzler, no it’s an econobox, no it’s a gas guzzler, have been calling me a hypocrite, and saying all kinds of other inflammatory shit. When you get the reaction you clearly want, suddenly it’s “Calm down.” Lol fuck off. Who’s telling who what to do here? Your climate skepticism is like a religion. This conversation has been over many times but you keep piping up to prolong it because 1) you can’t accept that people disagree with you, or more likely 2) you know the science is legit but you reject it because you don’t want to change your lifestyle. Whatever it is, talk to your therapist about it because I don’t care that you don’t accept it. I don’t care what you drive, where you live, what you eat, or what you want to tell yourself. Yes, I accept the science of climate change and yes I drive an M340i. If YOU don’t like it, that’s a you problem. Way to jack this thread about BMW’s partnership with Toyota to develop FCEVs. If you think climate change is a hoax and don’t care about carbon emissions, why are you even involved in this conversation? Maybe because you’re obsessed with something you claim to think isn’t real. Kinda sad but also hilarious. |

If you get tired of all of this, one simple solution to the problem is to just "Ignore" him. He can't see that it happened, and the problem just goes away. He might be surprised at how many have already done this but with this you won't see his posts, he is still happy to be talking, doesn't realize how few are actually listening. Everyone is happy.

You know what the biggest problem is with these trolls, climate change deniers, and people who are illiterate to science? AI looks at these posts, thinks that they're true, and generates answers based on the quantity of fake posts are out there. The irony is that computer science will end up believing these science deniers.

https://medium.com/world-economic-fo...r-ee2eed62f710 My favorite part: "My biggest concern is all the people who do not live in our city. Those we lost on the way. Those who decided that it became too much, all this technology. Those who felt obsolete and useless when robots and AI took over big parts of our jobs. Those who got upset with the political system and turned against it. They live different kind of lives outside of the city. Some have formed little self-supplying communities. Others just stayed in the empty and abandoned houses in small 19th century villages." I mean, this is from WEF/Davos itself. |
