Rear camera
hello, im new in this forum. I have a 320i e90.
Well, in the bmw web I can read that our cars can go equipped with a camera of back vision (textually: Front and rear reversing cameras: "... On the other hand, a camera integrated into the boot lid provided added safety when reversing..."). Someone can tell me where goes located this camera exactly, or better still, can you put some photo of the camera? thank you very much |

Not sure about having an actual camera, but my e90 w/ PDC & iDrive (thus, Nav) has a graphical illustration instead when you put the car in reverse.
I don't think I am really answering your question though.

I think the European ones come with a small screen in between the front air vents if they do not have i-drive. This shows the actual view behind them. At least that is what it looked like in the German catalog I saw.

On the E90 it adds a monitor in one of the airvents.
Its a tiny little camera placed near where the button is that you press to open the trunk ( boot ) Its faces slightly downwards, so you see the edge of your rear bumper Its expensive

I love that - it's expensive...lol. I have yet to see anything cheap in terms of upgrades...and if you want a real shock, come to Europe - the current dollar/euro exchange rate has just hit an all time low, 1.28 usd to the euro!
Btw, bienvenido paipapito - me encanta Merida! |

You want a shock? Thanks to our exchange rate the average Big Mac burger will cost me double in europe compared to what it costs here, a beer 3 times the amount and a Ferrari costs me more than double here than what it costs in Italy

After market product
These guys make a device that let's you add a backup camera and display it on your E90 w/iDrive screen: http://www.gnetcanada.com/navvideo-m...gnetbmw356.asp
I don't have it myself but I plan to buy it sometime soon. ~Patrick |
