On to my questions: I'm looking to buy a new 135i and can get it in either DC area or in Wisconsin. Are there any differences in what state I buy it in, or should I just go with the dealer that has the best price? Also, I have a relatively small time frame where I would like it to be delivered/available. How early should I order the car in order to have it delivered when I need it?

Thanks for the help
Obviously you can purchase the car anywhere you that you would like & is convenient for you. The only potential additional benefit you might recieve would be related to taxes (if you have multiple residences). Figure about 7 weeks to have the car ordered & delivered.

Sorry for the novel post but am admittedly a noob when it comes to leasing, before i get completely flamed i have been reading up on it. Just hoping for some of your insights, since every lease option my CA has worked out has been right around $700 a month with 3-4K due on delivery.
The math doesn't add up.... you might want to revisit with you CA. PM me if you want more specifics

Dave: I've been doing my due diligence on the 135i and plan on purchasing one sometime in the next couple of weeks. There is, however, one piece of information I've been unable to obtain without heading into the dealerships. If you know or have access to the info, could you acquaint me with the interest rate BMW Financing offers for the 135i (2008 or 2009, doesn't matter). This is assuming good credit.

Thanks for making yourself available! - Matt/onmargin

for 135 cpes, for our area, we are seeing rates right around 6%, but I have seen Credit unions doing close to 4%. There is no special rate offered on the cpes right now, only verts

Excellent Dave. Thanks again.

Yeah -- I'm getting a coupe. The only rates on BMW's site are the promotional rates, and as you said, there are only specials on the verts.

135 cpe?

I would call your dealer.... I see nothing even remotely like your car

Unless you ordered a 128 cpe, in which case I do see that, status is produced not shipped.

Maybe an odd question, but do 135's ship without the side skirts attached?

I went to look for a Le Mans Blue 135 yesterday, just to see what it looked like. It so happened the dealer had a brand-spanking-new, just delivered 135 sitting out front (in the feature area, not the lot). He told me up front the car had just arrived and hadn't gone through PDI yet. I only saw it from the passenger side, but the rocker panel was off. Just wondering if that's normal, or maybe there was some shipping damage they might be fixing.

I only ask because, as it turns out, that car had exactly the options I was looking for and I had to sit on my hand to keep it from pulling out my AmEx.

yes they do ship with them on, my guess is they were fixing a scratch or something

Easy Question

I have an '08 ED car on the Tombarra which is due in New York on the 18th of this month. How long will it (should it) take to get to Cincinnati, Ohio? Just like everybody else........ I'm impatient.

Thanks

Thinking about ordering a 135i, need to know what my trade-in is worth!

Here is a question for all the dealers on here. I have been thinking about ordering a 135i for some time now, but my decision will strongly depend on what the trade-in value of my current ride is. It is a 2007 MINI Cooper S with manual transmission. Current mileage is about 15,000 miles. Car is in excellent condition. The MSRP of the new car was $29,700. I have the original window sticker of the car to verify the MSRP and all installed options. After taking delivery of the car, I had the John Cooper Works (JCW) engine tuning kit (MSRP of $2100) and the JCW suspension kit (MSRP of $1295) installed on it. These are original factory kits. So, the total MSRP of the car with these kits is about $33,100. I have all the receipts to verify this information. What's a fair trade-in value for this car? Dealers, feel free to PM me with your trade-in value offer or further questions.

Kelly Blue Book is your friend, it should give you a fairly realistic (plus or minus a grand or two) value for your ride

Any further word on the "CARB" situation for the 09 135's?
