128i - TPMS INACTIVE?? stock wheels?

Hi all! Filled up my tires to ~45 psi just in preparation of summer months. MAX psi is well above 45. Anyways, couple of days later I get a flashing TPMS light. I assume it (maybe) finally picked up a change in pressures. I measured and still read ~45 on all four corners. Measured couple of hours later (in case of slow leak), same results. I tried resetting, but instead get an INACTIVE error. I am running stock wheels and tires (tires were replaced 6 months ago from dealer I bought car from, OEM RFTs 17" staggered, no issues til now). Any suggestions? I will bring car in to my local tire place see what they say. i'm thinking sensor/transmitters in wheel well? Maybe wiring issue or (god forbid) a module issue? Should I replace all sensors at once? Have you all gotten this warning and if so what was your fix?? As far as i can tell, warning light is purely annoying and not a dangerous situation as my tires are all near new and fully inflated, so I am comfortable driving on it. Thanks in advance and I will keep you all updated.

tpms

My tpms installation just failed in the same way after 15 miles?

Did you ever figure out a fix for this?

Yes i did, i realized a gallon of water spilled in the trunk last shopping trip and it fried my RDC module (under the little cubby behind the rear passenger wheel arch). Take off the carpeting on the sides and look to see if water got in there. Remove the module located in its own little spot in the styrofoam holster. unplug and dry everything out, soak up all water and wipe off any mildew/mold. If you let it sit, it can screw with your battery too (gauges go haywire and all dash lights come on). Also, if you have them, your parking sensors should go haywire. i dont have them so only my tpms went out. Currently have no TPMS, but I could care less

If you just installed new sensors and this happened, you need to have the module reset using INPA coding. The dealer or a local BMW coder can do it for you
