Base 135i sport seats?

Hi,

I've been playing around with car on bmw web site and I am a bit confused. If you look at the interior pictures for 135i, it seems to have sport seats as a base option. Yet, the sport package still says "sport seats" as a part of it. When you add M sport package, seats don't change.

Are M sport seats different from base seats on 135i ?

Thank you,

Sport seats with leatherette are standard on the 135 not so with the 128. MSport seats are no different.

Not so. The standard seats are standard, unless you get the sport or Msport package. There have been plenty of 135i owners who have regretted not getting the upgrade, as the standard seats are a little flat, and they do not offer tilt adjustment.

Starting this year, Boston Leather is standard in the USA - I'm not sure if you can get leatherette anymore.

The seats on the screen shots are sport seats. If you'll look at 128i, the seats are different. Also, if you add sport package to 135i, the seats remain the same, hence the confusion on my part and it seems on this board too.

Yes - you are right - the configurator shows only sport seats. This is misleading.

I as part of the LCI updates the value package goes away so leather will now be $1450 option again.

When will that be? The BMWUSA website still shows leatherette as standard, but with leather a no cost option as part of the Value Package.

And the sport seats are not standard. To see how the configurator should work, try building a 128i coupe and toggling between base & SP.

BMWUSA is behind, I hear it should be updated within days however.
The 2012 LCI Models begin in March (days from now)
2011 Can no longer be ordered either:
Value package is no longer offered, Leather as an option alone is 1450$.

I know that the UK BMW site has the new configurator up and running, but the options and packages are not the same. Still it gives pictures of the new updates and colors. I wish BMW still offered the value package and kept Lemon Leather since they have been so nice in giving a price increase.
