eBay roof rack

So recently I've changed up how I want my car to be built. Project ultimate daily involves a roof rack but 500$ for the Thule roof rack is a bit out there. The oem one is an option but I don't like how high it sticks up. Has anyone tried any other roof rack alternatives? Universal sets? I stumbled across these on eBay for a fair price claiming they fit the 1 series

Never knew those existed. How are the reviews on eBay? They look pretty good except the foot boot. Looks kind of cheesy like the dust boot on an 90's motorcycle.

Reviews seem to say they fit well 🤷🏽*♂️. And for the price tag it's not a bad buy. And I agree that the dust boot isn't amazing but I don't mind.
