1M burning rubber @ BMW Welt delivery

Saturday 26 of november was a very special day.We arrived at the BMW Welt for the delivery of my new 1M.
After the reception welcome and some paperwork we stayed at the lobby for some food and drink until the appointment.

After a while the responsible guy for the delivery showed us down the stairs to the car.
He let me see and feel the car alone for a while and then he asked me if i need any information about the car.
I told him that i had experience already of M3 and the 1M in Nurburgring. Then he said ok you can start driving
the car so i turn on the engine and drove away.
The delivery in the BMW Welt is a unique experience. Here are some pics.

Haahhaha... I should have met you there Nikos. I was too tired after Essen(EMS) I can see by the huge grin on your face that your 1M has brought you much JOY already!

You can drive it a few rounds in the circle here in the building to feel the pleasure of driving......I smiled and said did you say driving or drifting?
The guy laughed and said you can do whatever you want as long as you dont put anyone else in danger.......
My first reaction was "what a douchie thing to do" but I got be honest I am still laughing about it now. I mean you laid down some rubber on the Welt showroom!

Okay I'll say it then.

As fun as this may be to do it's the type of behavior that may lead to BMW no longer allowing the Victory laps at the Welt.

Please wait until you get outside to be overcome by the Joy!

Definitely interesting and memorable..... not sure I agree with it.. That road is kinda narrow. ... I hope this doesn't become a trend.... but seeing someone do it once is definitely unique... mostly because there is video.

Very nice. I was almost let down that there were no photographs, but then saw the video link Haha.
Kudos for actually doing what many only imagine doing. Looking forward to what you do with this car

Werd.

I can't begin to describe how pissed I would be if someone damaged my car as I was taking delivery because they wanted to leave their "signature".

Irresponsible and poor judgement. Wouldn't surprise me if this results in policy changes at the Welt.

To all the posters getting all "Pacific BMW" on the original poster:

Will you people chill? Look at the videos: he didn't do anything even remotely dangerous: yes if you know how to drive a powerful rear wheel drive well you can actually leave a 1.5 meter long '11' black mark on the ground and do 'drifts' of .5 seconds and 10 degrees indoors and not endanger anyone (as for doing a little 180 slide on a wet parking lot please, where's the harm in that).

There was cheekiness (or irony if you want) in the title of his post of course, but that was the whole point! Who wouldn't like to claim that they 'drifted' inside the welt?
