Truck tire does some underbody damage.

Damn these tire re-threads that are littering the highways. Car in front of me went over it and threw it directly in my path.

Looks like I lost a bit of the black plastic undercover and crumpled an aluminum heat shield of some kind. Looks like an easy DIY repair. Could have been much worse.

Doesnt look too bad..

Those panels arent cheap but they go in easy enough.. when you order what you think you need, dont forget to buy new bolts and speed clips, as you may not have the amount you need anymore..

also take a peak down stream of the car and look to see if any harnesses and or other panels are damaged or pulled free from there clips..

Good Luck..

Good advice. This was just a quick peek to make sure the car could be driven without doing more damage. I had these trays off before when I did the M3 swaybar upgrade so I know to get plenty of hardware.

Could have been much worse! Glad you came out of it with the car still in one piece. Similar incident has happened to my own car.

Last year same thing happened to me. Car in front of me went over it and my car caught it.

Scared the crap out of me while driving. Damage didn't look too bad after my girlfriend cleaned up the tire marks but my hood is still a little dinged and I haven't replaced my bumper yet.
