Angel eyes??

I recently just got a '10 135i, i like everything except the damn yellow/orange looking angel eyes. My Mom just got a '12 X5 and her lights are F****ing sick looking. A very clean white look, and very visible day and night. Was wondering if anyone can tell me which kit i could get that would get me that same super white Halo as the new LCI X5's. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Pics would be a great help as well.

+1. Bavarian is like 2 1/2 times the price of alpine though but there is a reason and i do admit they are the best. I have alpine and i love it quite alot it kinda depends on what you want to spend.

id say lux and alpine go side by side depdning on what your looking for. alpines are BRIGHT. like WOW. very bright. lux are not as bright but rings are more defined (because theyre not as bright). they look great at dawn hehe

I'm also in the market to upgrade my stock angel eye set up. I hate the dull yellowish color of the stock bulbs. I think that the LUX angel eye set up would be the best fit for me, It's my understanding that alot of forum members approve and back this particular manufacturer. I also like how everything can be enclosed within the headlight housing. No wires or heatsinks having to be located outside the actual lens. Thanks for the info on this post.

Do you own one? Alex sells it with or without pre-drilled headlight caps that come with rubber grommets that completely seal the headlights. In my year and a half of ownership I have never had one incident where any moisture got into the headlight while I ran these lights. Nobody flashes their high beams at me thinking they're too bright. Never got pulled over for them being too bright. I have had a few problems with the ballasts shorting, but of the V3 kits, alex has sold about 50 and so far has had no problems from anybody with these higher-quality kits shorting, and positive feedback from everybody.

You are right in this sense. Nobody posts daylight pics of their LUX. I know LUX is way ahead compared to other LED options, but it's hard for LEDs with higher color temps to look nearly as bright as stock lights when running the same wattage. When I first found this thread I purposely scoured the forums looking for LUX daylight pics, because I was genuinely interested. If they looked good, I would buy a set to compare to Alpine HID's since nobody has done this before, but it's useless if LUX aren't truly visible at daytime. All the "daylight" pics are in a parking garage, or at dawn/dusk, or where the sun is behind the car and the headlights themselves are in the shadow.

Here's my Alpine V3 kit in direct, actual sunlight at about 1 PM:

I have not seen a single pic of LUX in a similar setting. But then again, if anyone is worried about the reliability of these kits, then I guess it's not the way to go..

Anyone have a 128 with halogen headlights

Im looking to convert my 128 ugly halogen non angel eyes to the xenon/angel eyes or something better. Bmw strongly advised not to go aftermarket (oem retrofit too expensive, time consuming) as they have seen horror stories, mostly electrical. I was thinking of Depot from **********s.com ? Any input greatly appreciated

Look into Bavarians LS1 DEPO special order.

I was considering a depot option from them or **********s. However, I have been strongly recommended not to convert my oem halogens from BMW dealership as they have seen electrical issues.

That looks GREAT! I assume V3 hasn't given you any trouble or anything? The Alpine kit looks awesome , but everyone seems wary about the reliability..
