2010 135i convertible (E88) with fresh motor
I bought this last fall as a winter project and didn't expect to be driving it as much as I have been. This started out as a 3rd vehicle for me but I've recently moved some cars around narrowing the fleet down to two, I now have a bigger budget and would like to move into an M car. Car has a clean title, no rust, and is in nice shape inside and out for a 13 year old vehicle. Soft top works great. It hasn't seen snow from the last 3 owners including myself and judging by the condition of all the bottom side bolts, has never seen snow. Has iDrive, auto trans, M sport suspension, comfort access, alpine white with boston grey interior. Currently sitting with 154k miles. Previous owner was having overheating issues and the mechanic she brought it to told her it was a head gasket and quoted her $5,000 for repairs. It ended up only being a bad water pump that they didn't look at because the pump only had 2000 miles on it, but I pulled the motor anyway. I replacing all seals and gaskets, plus a long list of parts provided in one of the pictures. Basically the motor has all new of the following: Seals, Gaskets, 6 new intake valves and 2 new exhaust valves (couldn't measure a bend but felt friction in the valve guides so I replaced), valves lapped, head and block decked, rod bearings checked with plastagauge (clearance was good and no metal found in oil so they were not replaced, new rod bolts were used), timing chain and guides, oil pump chain, all removed bolts replaced with new, one step colder ngk plugs, Dinan coils, vacuum lines, oil filter housing, timing chain tensioner, injector decouplers and seals, VTT billet PCV valve, water pump and t stat. Also all new with approx 1000 miles on them: Shocks/struts, AGM battery, pads all around, transmission service kit, all fluids flushed (Liqui Moly). Currently have MHD master license and running stage 2+but next owner will get master license and can load whatever tune you desire. Bolt on's include VRSF intercooler, VRSF upper and lower charge pipes, Forge diverter valves, VRSF filters and silicone inlets, VRSF outlets, BMS cowl delete, VRSF catless DPs. No CEL. I had the head hot washed and the intake/exhaust ports polished. HPFP and injectors were changed at one point but I don't know when, injectors are index 7. Note: Pics of head and intake ports are prior to hot wash, decking, and final polish, they were the only pics I had of the motor apart. Cylinder compression as follows: Cylinder 1: 160 Cylinder 2: 159 Cylinder 3: 159 Cylinder 4: 158 Cylinder 5: 161 Cylinder 6: 161 Located in SD, more pics available upon request. Sorry for the delay. Interior pics added. One other update, I shwacked a grouse over the weekend with the windshield. Little SOB caused a spider web crack so it will be replaced with a new one before sale.

Posted some vids to youtube. First time making and posting a youtube video so please disregard my cinematography skills. Also did a brake flush over the weekend with synthetic DOT 5 fluid so brakes are good for another 20k miles. I have a few interested parties that wanted to see a vid so I shot this last night quick. It had just rained so the car is pretty dirty but I pointed out the body imperfections, everything else is dirt or bug guts. https://youtube.com/shorts/m55CQdufTLo?feature=share
