Do 19's look awkwardly big on our cars
I know this is purely opinionated but what's the consensus? I guess all you guys running 19's post some pics so we can have them in 1 thread.. And yes I have searched and seen a couple guys running 19's but I'd be nice to see them in one place in case I missed any plus I'm sure a lot of ppl would love to know what works and doesn't as a majority if the wheels in the official thread tend to be 17's and 18's..
Cheers guys |

yeah I'm thinking 19's may be in my future very soon.. Can I get some wheel sizes and offsets to go along with those pics pls.. I really don't wanna have to do insane fender work to get stuff to fit without rubbing, that's my major concern.. But I plan on running a square setup 8.5 et45 if possible with a mild drop (bmwps or eibach pro system)

19" wheels look fine on the 1. Only problem is there are a limited number of choices given the car's offset requirements. I've had Alufelgen SF-71s on my car for about a year now. I love the way they look on the car and the stance the car has with them.

I think 19s look a little too big for our cars, especially if the car is not lowered. I think my car is unlowered in this first pic, for sure lowered in the second.

19"s are a bit bling to me. Autocar's long term 1M test car was put on 18"s at some point, and they said that was the biggest improvement they made to the car.

the spoke design and color also have a lot to do with it. Eyemans Volks look pretty big to me probably because of the spokes and the lighter colors. I think the mesh ones typically look good and also anything black/gunmetal as well.

My car pictured above with 19" Alufelgen SF-71s is not lowered and I think the stance is just about perfect.
I also agree with some others that if ultimate performance is your goal smaller wheels and tires are a benefit, but so is the type of wheel. A forged wheel is generally going to be lighter than cast wheels. For a daily driver though I think 19" wheels are fine and in my opinion look better on the 1 than 18" wheels do.

Anything is better than stock, but 19"s will be significantly worse than 18"s performance wise.

19s are fine but you need smooth roads or a deep wallet if it's your DD.
