Going by 335i pricing and the content of the packages on the 135i I would expect those 2 packages to cost approximately $2750-3250 combined. I'm expecting a base price of around $33k, so I don't think that's that bad.

I just want to add to the complaint list of zero cloth interior options. Leather seats in my extreme Hot and Cold environment is just so unpractical. Something ZHP'esque with cloth centers and Alcantara everything else would fit this car perfectly.

If this is BMW's new introductory model, I should be able to order (1) as bare bones as I want. No Moonroof, Non-Automatic Cloth seats, etc. And I'm not fussing over added cost, I'm fussing over added weight. I wanted a stripped down version built for the track (and obviously still more than good enough as a daily driver).

But BESIDES all of that, I'm very excited to drive (1). I really wanted Apline White and RAW, but maybe I will be getting Sparkling Graphite with Coral red, matching my outgoing 330 coupe, with all the bells and whistles after all.

It's a real pity if you guys are forced to get the moonroof - up with the weight, and up with the centre of gravity compared with the euro cars without moonroof....

asport package mistake

Thanks 1ster, outstanding post. Now we're getting somewhere!!

You say that the pics show Shadowline trim. Could you explain what that is, or point me to somewhere it is explained?

Did anyone point out yet that both manual and power sport seats are listed for the sport package? What's the truth, manual in 128 and power in 135?

My deposit is in and the salesman says
- I get their first one
- at sticker price
- after they get their allocation, I can change anything (colors, options) without hurting the delivery date.

Is he blowing smoke?

Unladen weights for manual and (automatic)
128i: 3252 (3329)
135i: 3332 (3384)

The 335i Coupe is listed on BMW's website as 3571, a 239 lb difference!

Sorry for the earlier error.
But in british bmw web site 135i coupe is only 40kg(90lb) lighter than 335icoupe.
so strange!

Regarding the power seats you have to fully read it. It states see note 4. Which states they are only power if you choose the premium package or the power seat option.

As for shadow line that gets ride of the "pimp my ride" crap chrome around the windows

Yes, the under door handles lighting and ambient interior lights are standard on e90's, or every base loaner 325i and 328i I've had has had them. I would guess for e92's too...

According to the UK tech specs sheet the 135 manual is 1485kg or 3273lbs. Over here its coming in at 3332 lbs. A difference of 59lbs. Would that be the addition of the sunroof? I don't think they are standard over there. May not be apples to apples though as I'm not sure if the amount of fuel and occupant wieght are factored the same way across the pond. Anybody know?

I forget the technical name, but I think all current BMW's have this feature. I know for sure that e90's do. I saw a video of them testing it on a face lifted e46, but my f/l e46 does not have it...

Not wierd though, I, too, think its a great safety feature and have watched it work when following my buddie in his e90 through some twisties...

i believe that it should be noted that much of the 200lb. difference owes to less standard equiptment in the 135 than the 335; most notably the 335 comes standard with power seatS, which as discussed in a separate thread, have been estimated to weigh 100lbs. for the pair. So, chassis for chassis, the difference may be only about 100lbs. For those not getting the power seats indeed the 200lb. savings will be realized but those who get them will be giving back half of that. There may be other equiptment issues that affect the comparison one way or the other(perhaps even in favor of the 135- for example that it comes standard with the 18" wheels), but i haven't sorted that out yet.
