Granted, I understand that but he senses ridicule and abuse. Anyway enough said I think. On the whole an informative forum and quite friendly - lets keep it this way fellas

I am not hostile , just frustrated that a Newbie gets insulted when asking what may seem an irelevent question to you more experienced members who don't offer assistance. I finally got the answers from my mates in Australia who are far more helpful and one even told me the reason why the driver seat does not recline in the convertible but does in the coupe. You guys can learn a lot from my mates who are friendlier and kinder to Newbies. And feel most welcome to visit the Australian forum if you cannot get answers to your questions. G'day mates. This is the end of this thread

well dude, i mean come on. you have your own 1er right?
you've already said that you have already found that the seats DON'T go all the way flat right? you already started one thread asking for people to confirm what you already know. they already DID confirm such (even though it did then go off topic). it's like when you're 8yr old nephew keeps asking the same question over and over again and no matter how many times you answer it they still ask "but why?????".

there were several answers to your question in your first thread, even if you had to weed thru a few pointless posts.

it's the internet, and this is a forum. hopefully you understand that the inter-webs are full of tons of great information, BUT you'll always have to weed thru the advertisements, the pointless info, the porn, etc.

you need thicker skin too. you feel that you were 'insulted'!?!?!?!?!?! lolz

So what, this guy's a noob, never had a BMW, asked a dumb question in your eyes. By stooping so low as to post insulting comments like these, afraid to say it but says a lot about yourself too. Give this poor guy a break.

Thread not worth your time? Too dumb for you? Let it die and let it be.

Where are the seats located in this car? I can't seem to find them, I looked everywhere.

Don't fret. American's tend to be full of anger and angst, for no apparent reason. One of the US's iconic movies is called "Rebel without a cause."
That outta tell you something.

You would think that someone who is sick of your question would simply NOT read your comments and stay away from answering you.
But NO, it seems it's worth the time to write vitriolic nonsense then to simply.....LET IT GO.

These pointless retorts are fodder for the causeless rebel wishing to lash out at the ridiculous world that he's simply feeding with his own fodder for the foolish.

I actually learned something in this thread. I did not know that the seat fully reclines in the coupe and not in the vert. And, I don't know why that would be.
Why is that?

Fully reclining front seats are a godsend during those emergency pit stops with the lady friend.

I would say the difference is that if you reclined the seats all the way back on the vert you could quite easily get jammed between the front seat and the rear inside quarter of the car...the vert tapers in in sharply in the rear inside quarter where the coupe has much more width in the rear allowing the seats to fold back in a safer position..

That's pretty funny; I can see how it can get stuck with the weight of one's body, especially on cars with non-power seats HAHA.

Edit: I found them.

One was behind the steering wheel and the other was on the passenger side in front of the glove box and ahead of the rear bench. Who designed these things?
