Question Upgrading to 5" or 7" FMIC for Hot Climate with FBO

First time posting here. I've recently purchased a 135i, and live in North Queensland Australia. Car comes with the below bolt-ons:

VRSF Catless Downpipes

VRSF Chargepipe

Burger Motorsports Dual Cone Intakes

Turbosmart BOV

Team M Factory Helical LSD

MHD Stage 2 Tune

I feel the next step would be a FMIC, however I am trying to think whether a 5" or 7" would be better? I won't be going past FBO at this stage so I figured a 7.5" wouldn't be necessary. Am I on the right track here? I live in a hot climate (Townsville, North Queensland, AU) so anything would be better than the stock intercooler. However I don't want to do too much destructive trimming.

Dyno results from the previous owner came out at 280kw atrw.

What are you thoughts on this mod just for daily driving purposes? I won't be tracking or dragging this car. Everything else I am happy with.

TBH I wouldn't be running stage 2 without a FMIC in the first place. But with that being said, it all depends on how well do you know yourself. I for one bought the 5" stepped intercooler thinking I wasn't going to track my car or anything like that, which i haven't. However I will be buying the 7" FMIC here any day now.

Your question has been asked many times before. The general consensus is buy the best intercooler you can afford. Also a lot of people say to just go with the 7" and call it a day. You want low IAT's and the 7" will help immensely in that area.

Get rid of the dual come inlets as well.
They work ok but basically youre sucking in hot air.
