I need a modest drop on VMR 710's and not rub.
Which lowering kits do you guys recommend? I was planning to buy the eibach pro lowering spring kit at the 1addicts meet, but I couldn't find anyone with the same setup as me.
These would be my rim/tire specs. VMR V710 8.5x18in ET45 9.5x18in ET50 Kumho Ecsta LE Sport 225/40/18r 255/35/18r I don't want to rub or bottom out or scrape. Looking for a modest drop of about ~1 inch all around. |

There are a handful of kits out there that will lower your car to about that level, but the clearance is really going to be pretty tight no matter how you look at it. One suspension kit is not necessarily going to give you additional clearance compared to another (assuming you won't run camber plates or will not be adding additional camber in the rear).
With those offsets and tire specs, you might not have any major problems with a one inch drop though.

I have KW springs with VMR 701's in the exact spec's you have.
The front just clears (about 8mm clearance) whilst the back had no issues (about 15 mm clearance). No rolling required and I can still drive the car over 90% of speed humps without having to crawl over. I am away on work at the mom but will try post up some pics next week if you need. |

If anyone with lowered on eibach's could give their .02 would be great!!
The meet is coming up this saturday and I don't want to buy it blindly. I heard great things about the springs on stock wheels, just not with my set up. |

No issues driving up ramps / slopes (we have some horribles ones over here at shopping centers and I tried them first to be sure).
Sorry, never had 4 people in the car so hard to say. I am able to get full lock too with no issues. |

I've only scraped a few times(just the black flaps that hang down in front of the front tires) and it was on a bump I've seen stock cars scrape... Here is a quick pic from my trip to stelvio I did a few weeks ago so you can see how it sits. I had the stock runflats at that time mounted on my Apex EC-7s.

I played with spacers awhile back.. 15mm H&R spacers on the rear looked perfect. I am just on the wall about spacers in general...

VMR701s in your size PSS in your size Dinan springs/ dinan-tuned koni yellows / dinan camber plates M3 arms front and back -1.8*F/-2.0*R camber 1/16 toe out F / 1/16 toe in rear Drop is probably right around an inch .. handling and ride comfort are superb, tire wear is excellent and perfectly even. Mild fender rolling was required as I was rubbing on all corners, probably due to the beefy size of the PSS relative to other brand tires of the same size. No, the rubbing would've been more pronounced without the M3 parts. More camber is a good thing in this regard, which is what M3 parts give you. Honestly, different cars seem to have different results. My car rubbed, others don't, so it's very much a YMMV type of thing. I made reference to the PSS tires which definitely run large for their given size. This, coupled with the squared off shoulders, makes them more prone to rubbing. So tire choice definitely will make a difference. That said, rolling the fenders a bit wasn't that big of a deal. I did the fronts myself using a baseball bat to gently roll up the inner lip of the fender (sounds scarier than it is). I'm pretty sure you'd be ok with the tires you are considering, but if you're not, the problem should be pretty solveable. It was for me anyway. Tire Rack actually has all the tire specs listed, so you can compare actual tire sizes to see what would give you more room.
