Delivery Day FinallyArrived

Ok so today I washed my previouscar, see attached of my E30, which I have for 14 years, and probably the best Car I shall ever own. And drove it once last time to the dearlership for part exchange Hopefully its new owner will appreciate what a fince car it is.

Then 2 hours later it is replaced by new 325 SE, SG, Manual Sports Suspension. See attached. I was pretty nervous driving it back in the drizzle here in the UK, a few miles on the A217, M25 and A3, and a bit of street driving to get an initial feel. The gearbox is very notchy, and I embarassed myself holding up traffic at roundabouts trying to get into 1st gear, once with a police car behind me. Hopefully the gearbox will loosen up a bit. The ride is pretty good, I was a bit worried about the sports suspension, but I am happy to feel the bumps in the road, and the speed bumps seem pretty good. It will take a couple of months before I can really enjoty the car. (Although it only took me 15 minutes in the car, when I realised I was doing over 80 mph.)

Best regards, appologies for the poor quality photos, both done today in a rush

Its kinda of a dank dreary day here in the South of England, so difficult to really judge, suffice to say that I am very happy withe Sparkling Graphite so far. It makes me feel all profesional.

Now I just need to worry about keeping it looking good.

The gearbox will feel much better once you put on about 1500 miles. I noticed a huge difference in ease of shifting.

Congrats!

Nice e30.
I drove an '85 e30 3er for 270,000 miles before selling it in a private transaction 10 months ago and buying an e46. The e30 was FUN FUN FUN and even with those miles, I was still stoked to get in it and drive. That said, the e46 helps ALOT to ease the loss of the e30. My wife traded to her e90 from an '89 e34 535i with 215,000 miles, which was also a GREAT car.
We both hope the newer ones will be as good to us as the older generation was.
Congrats on your new 3er.
Mike

My 320d is SG. I'm very happy with the colour. When I ordered it the colour was the last decision I made - Five minutes before signing the order and after a month of negotiating price etc.... . The only problem might be keeping it clean.

I don't know why it looks so good, I mean "grey" shouldn't.. But it does!.

Congratulations!
