Femme - your place looks like an art gallery. I like it.

That's so sweet. Like, there's nothing even in your house but - but the way it was designed, it still looks HOT. I love it.

I seriously think everyone's house on here could pass for MTV's Cribs. Seriously.

Incredible. I love it. This is what my place would like with more open space a much bigger budget. I'm saving these pics as inspiration for my next crib.

Can you tell me about the lighting in your place? Lighting, along with the bedroom are the two main unfinished parts of my place (I just moved in 8 months ago). Are those lights in the floor?? I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions about my place (the first one in this thread).

I love your speakers too.... mine bother me since they're ugly and stick out and are placed too high on the wall around the plasma. Are you running both your LCDs off the same system? I have everything running on Windows Media Center (I have just one monitor - the plasma, but I'm planning on adding an LCD for the bedroom).

Don't get me wrong, I like it if I am visiting. But it is too sterile for my taste. I guess I like the New England style of homes - cozy and warm.

Femme,

Great modern look, I love modern. I would just need someone to clean it every 30 seconds. Personally I would personalize it a bit with some pictures. Either black and whites or pictures with over saturated color.

I am in awe over the pictures of Femme's place.

I really like the minimalist look, but my wife always tells me that my style is too "empty". I will keep these pictures in mind when I get around to doing work to our place.

I agree, but I love seeing that type of design when it really works! That one really works! My house is much more traditional colonial, but then I do live in one of the 13 colonies.

chrissal1 - thanks. My wife and I almost always agree immediately on decor and style, which is nice. When we had the house built the carpet and floor people were amazed that we took about 1/2 hour to pick everything.

The TV is HDTV and the speakers are Bose... good eye. The TV is a 50" Mitsubishi and the quality is very good - HD is the only way to watch! I had the builder pre-wire that room with really good speaker wire in the walls so I could mount the Bose speakers - I hate seeing wires.

Ohh I forgot about this thread.

Here is a picture of our new couch.
The rest of the room needs a little work lol. for example, the mirror isn't centered anymore and I think we're going to put that painting somewhere else. I really want wood floors but we can't exactly do that in an apartment, hahahaha.

Here are some more. We have lights on our balcony outside too but I forgot to take pictures of them. Disregard the lamp in the kitchen lol. That was in our living room before but now we don't know what to do with it. Also disregard the clutter on my boyfriend's desk haha.

damn, Nikki, you are mean to your pets. You put the cat's crib next to the aquarium. Every time the cat go to sleep it would drool about eating the fish (but it cannot catch the fish) and everytime the fish sees the cat, it would be so scared of being eaten.

hahahaha he wishes, actually he goes in a cage at night hahaha.
our dogs need to be in cages at night, probably for another 6 months to a year so it wouldn't be fair to cage them and let the cat run around free.
