wow you're probably dying to get to your car- crevier has a lot of 1s just sitting in the background there, looks amazing- anyway for all those not interested in a 135i, bmwusa is screwed up right now and if you click on LeMans-Blue for a 128i or a 3 series it's giving you the whole M-sport pack for free, maybe someones ordering today and wants to try to hold the dealer to it?

Well, I did it. Just inked an order for Euro delivery of a Le Mans blue 135i. Black leatherette with gray poplar trim. Manual transmission, M Sport package, heated seats, comfort access and all those radio options. It will be two months before I lay eyes on it. Now the wait begins.

T-minus 50 days and counting until pickup in The Fatherland.

The local dealer has a LMB coupe on the lot, and each Saturday I've been getting my fix just scoping it out.

Good thing it has the slush-tronic, or else it might be in the stable already.

It's been there for about 6 weeks already, so I'm not sure why it hasn't moved yet. Of course I've only seen 2 one series on the roads here in the Indy metro area, so I wouldn't call this a mecca for the einser. Not complaining as I like the exclusivity aspect.

Personally, I hope it stays put for another 6 weeks so I can continue to drink LMB in until D Day.

You'll LOVE this color. When I started looking for mine just about a year ago, LB had just become an option if the M Pkg was specified. Not a tough choice as I wanted both. Went to order one but the computer found exactly what I wanted in a nearby city - only thing it doesn't have is NAV.

I'm not one for people gawking and thumb's upping at my cars but this one....in this color....attracts just way too much attention which I guess, in retrospect, is nice. I always wave back with a thanks. I was crossing into NY at the Peace Bridge and an older couple in a new Outback motioned for me to roll down my passenger window. The lady said "I just want to tell you what a beautiful car you have, such a beautiful color." Wow! And this happens all the time. So enjoy!!!!

lol! Thanks for the friendly warning. I had Imola red previously, so I'm used to being an exhibitionist.

It's all good as long as it's not the local constabulary greeting you with pen in hand.

I picked up my LMB on April 2 at the PDC in Spartanburg. Performance Center delivery was great and I loved getting some track time in BMW's 135i. I did part of the trip home on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is where I took this picture.

Super! You're at least the 3rd one of us with that color combo. Still in the elusive category.

As a sidenote the local LMB 135i had a 'Sold' sign on it this past weekend, with an added sticker that it was earmarked for a Dinan upgrade.

So I'll have to live vicariously through other LMB owners on this site until June 3.

Munich Manic Monday?

I hope not since it went into production this morning.

I do hope that AG Management circulated my memo I sent them to with earlier to wit that all employee's be in bed by 1930 hours (that's 7:30pm for you civilians), with absolutely zero alcohol being consumed the day prior until fully completed once into production.

It probably would have totally been completed by close of business today, but who knows what parts would be dorked up or completely missing.

I can see and hear it on pickup day when The Welt representative tells me......................"IndyMike, let me introduce you to your 115td Le Manstego blue with Lemon-Coral leather, right hand drive car with DCT. You'd never know this if I didn't tell you, but we assembled it in under 4 hours...............just prior to lunch time on 11 May."

I'd like to do the 'Individual' program some day, but that's not quite what I would have in mind.

I don't know. Chromeline conveys luxury to me, whereas Shadowline conveys

and sporty. Probably just perceptions though.

Have the chrome molding on the Touring. It's the little frau's wagen and she likes it that way, and it does look pretty good. But if I had my way (and the money) it'd be swapped out for high gloss shadowline in a heartbeat.

On May 30th I ordered a Le Mans Blue 128i with the Msport package, premium sound, ipod/USB, and black leatherette. I've actually never seen Le Mans blue in person as the dealership I ordered my car from hasn't gotten ANY of the 1-series with the m-sport packages in yet. I loved the color in the pictures and can't wait to see it in person!
