Injen Intake cleaning?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew what the correct way is to clean the injen intake for our 128is. I know injen sells intake cleaner on their website, but I do not know if ours are oiled intakes or not. If they are oiled, then I need to buy the oil recharger from their website.

If they are paper, then I just clean with water correct? I am a total noob .

thanks !

It is not an oil filter. Just use compress air to blast from the inside to outside then it's good enough.

Your Injen intake should came with AMSOIL filter (At least mine did). It is a paper elements filter. Manufacture recommend cleaning it every year. Filters can be cleaned by carefully vacuuming the filter media on the dirty side, or by holding the filter with one hand and carefully blowing the filter media at a 45-degree angle on the clean side using low-pressure shop air (15-20 lbs. psi).

This is basic paper filter maintenance knowledge, did your mechanic even had a look at it?
