White is so easy to maintain and does look good, but this VO is so unique!

I flew to Detroit last weekend to see it in person. The first pic at the gas station isn't even close to the real color and neither is that minivan red in another one. I took some pics with the DSLR and will try to adjust them as close to real life as I can with Photoshop and Lightroom. A post with pics will follow. It really is a gorgeous color in person! VO is starting to win me over.

Because black is the most frequently ordered color (at least it is in Germany) and manufacturers use their PR material to push other colors. The more they can push customers towards certain production options, the easier production planning becomes. For the M392 it was white. You could see the car in white everywhere. And look how maný white cars there are. It was a non-existing color before they did that. How many white M346 have you seen? And now they're pushing orange. And that for me is reason number 1 why I don't want it. Don't feel like driving into the VLN paddock parking and see 25 other VO 1Ms sitting there. (And yes, that was the case with the white M392s, but mine was always the only red one. )

I hope you're not trying to suggest, they lack budget or capabilities to take decent pictures of a black car?

I'm still not that sure that there will be so many VO 1 M Coupés, at least in some european countries. Honestly, I wouldn't have any problems with that if I wouldn't be the only one with a VO 1 M Coupé (if I'd take that color, still not sure about it).

Yes you can change the color and options almost up to the point of the build date. I would just like to be confident enough in the color prior to placing my order. I have had a deposit on the car since October and my dealer had entered my order into the system as a place holder but it's not time to place the options part of my order yet.
