Help with next mod

Right now I have. Just dci. I just got. Cobb last week and I'm in live with it . But like always I want more power the problem is I'm still in warranty. I'm not sure what to do I know. Downpipes would add a lot of hp but the dealer would give me problems. I was thinking about a fmic. But I was not able to find a exact a answer. On how the dealer would react. If I go in for service
Anyone have any experience. With fmic an dealers

Stop. Placing inappropriate. Punctuation in the. Middle of your sentences and. Maybe it will. Be like easier to read.

The answer is "it depends."

My local Cobb tuner says an ETS FMIC and an intake is enough. DPs aren't necessary. So that's what I bought and am waiting to install.

Yes. I did however find that my local dealership's N54 tech is relatively lenient with mods. As long as I don't inject anything (meth/NO2) he will try to get anything covered. The N54s are well over engineered however, so I hope to not have to tap into him. Maybe a tranny flush and a set of plugs/coils and ill be satisfied.

If you are worried about warranty don't go further they can deny anything for any reason. I personally told myself I would pay out of pocket if I go heavy on mods. I haven't had many issues. There is always a risk. .

If you flashed your DME with the Cobb, you're already running the risk of getting denied warranty coverage. They can tell if it is altered and returned to "stock." If you blow up your turbos or need a new clutch, they are going to look there anyways.

So they say. There is "shadow" memory that keeps information on the DME that the scan systems can see. I wouldn't be surprised if that sort of data is available.

If you're looking into "go fast mods" then you are limited because of the warranty.. but a FMI should be fine. You can also do some Cyba scoops and exhaust. A charge pipe / BoV shouldn't effect warranty either (although these don't really give extra power)..

Charge pipe, Cyba, Exhaust is about what you're looking at if you're truly concerned about the mods messing with the warranty. Three easy mods that make the car look/sound better.

Honestly, go feel out your dealers service department. Here in Germany they are extremely strict on emissions and mods for their locals. But every time I come in with my 135, they love it! They always ask me to rev it up, and they have never charged me for any warranty work at all.

Your warranty can only be voided if they can directly connect a mod to an issue, which is easier to do with a COBB AP than almost anything else. You will be safe with an FMIC, I don't think your dealership will be mad at you for trying to keep your turbo colder.
