No radio power

Looking for some suggestions here on a problem I almost assuredly created myself haha I recently bought an Xtrons Android head unit and proceeded to install. Got the factory unit out without any issue, plugged the Xtrons all in and.... no power. I go through a few troubleshooting things and still get no power. Okay, maybe a dead unit, that happens. Start up the return through Amazon and go to plug my oem unit back in during the wait for exchange... no power. I've checked all the fuses listed as radio in the fuse box compartment and the harness 'looks' good from what I can see. What else could this be? I'm hesitant to send the Xtrons back now since it seems like the issue is with my car and not the unit .

Any help would be appreciated. I'm not great with car electronics so I was very disappointed it didn't just plug and play haha

you need to get external power, I connected a cable with a fuse from the battery.

He said when he plugged the stock unit back in it's dead as well.

Are you using a Metra style harness? If you use a harness it should be just plug and play. If the stock unit is dead also I would guess it's a blown fuse located in the glove box. Before going further get a FREE voltage tester from Harbor Freight or buy one off Amazon, most of the cheap ones work fine. Whatever you do don't cut any wires!
