oil pan gasket

2011 128i conv, 78k not a daily

Low level leak but looking to address it. Unfortunately I cannot do the work myself so looking at my options in the near future.

When getting it done would you do the motor mounts, water pump and anything else that frequently fails and if so does that increase the cost by a lot?

Yeah engine mounts, water pump, and thermostat. All of those are easier to get at while the subframe is lowered.

If a mechanic does you a solid it shouldn't add too much labor to bundle them all together. If mechanic charges book time for each job then it will be expensive.

Good advice, thx. It's not leaking terribly, in fact it's my daughter's car and she uses it sparingly but I'm anal and like things fixed. Deale will quote me April 1 when I'm there for an oil change but I know that will be $$$. I also use a independent but they aren't cheap either.

SOmeone referred me to a local mechanic but after watching videos of the procedure I am not sure someone who doesn't work on BMW's regularly can do it right, maybe I'm wrong.
