Best way to covert to angel eyes?

I'm looking to convert my 128i's halogen headlights to the angel eyes, what's the best way to do this? Oem led headlights with aftermarket bulbs? Aftermarket headlights? Any insights would be great.

I've never done this, but have read that snagging a good pair of OEM is probably the best bet. Less chance of error messages.
