Just out of curiousity how/why do you check the temperature of the hub of the wheel.
Second, why would you powder coat a track wheel? Just picking up weight so it looks better? Agreed as to: Ask smart questions when getting your tires powder coated. Last edited by Sdracing; 08-11-2010 at 12:12 PM.. |

Powdercoating a wheel adds about four to eight ounces, not really significant, and when removing the stock paint or powder, it doesn't net anything. Using a car for road and track usage and using aggressive track pads, I get lots of embedded pad material, and the stock silver shows a lot of that, changing to a darker color helps to hide that. Short answer - style. |

Anything is possible, however I've been 2+years on this set with NO issues. My buddy that has been running around 5 years on his powder coated wheels has never had any issues either. Seems to hold up better than paint for sure. I'm happy with mine.
