Charge pipe airduct question

Hi guys,

Working on my 1M Coupe (N54).

Basically I have installed a new charge pipe airduct and was wondering if you could help with a simple question.

Where the charge pipe meets the intercooler pipe (just before it goes down to the intercooler), do I have to push the charge pipe edge (green) over the little ridge of the intercooler pipe (red). It almost seems impossible and seems to butt up nice to this lip but I am not so sure if it needs that little extra push. Any ideas? maybe some photos of yours if possible!

*This isnt a photo of my car's piping but one I found online.

No , you have mounted the pipe correctly.

If you had removed the coupler, you would have noticed that the pipe has two ridges or "lips", the front edge will help create a flare once you have placed the coupler over it and you will tighten your clamp between those two "lips"

Ahhh, You are a star! Thank you kindly. Very helpful indeed.
Just wanted to double check before I start putting some boost through the pipes as I don't want it blowing off!
